St. Mark's opened in a field in the Upper Valley of El Paso, Texas in the 1940's. Since then St. Mark's has grown with the El Paso community. We have added schools, services, ministries and missions that have impacted the local and global community! We hope that you can find a place in our church community!

Steve McElroy

Steve McElroy is the interim Pastor at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in El Paso. Steve is a retired Elder who has served multiple congregations across Texas and New Mexico in his over 30 year ministry. Most recently Steve has served as the District Superintendent for the El Paso District. Steve is happily married to his wonderful wife Kathy. New Pastoral Appointment

Russell Nebhut

St. Mark’s is excited to announce the appointment of Rev. Russell Nebhut to St. Mark’s beginning July 1st. Rev. Nebhut is in his 4th year as the Senior Pastor of Asbury UMC in Odessa, TX. While at Asbury the church has grown in worship attendance, professions of faith, small group attendance, people engaged in missions/ministry, and money given to missions/shared ministries. Russ is married to Stephanie and they have 5 children. Stephanie is originally from South Dakota but grew up in Nebraska. Stephanie is very involved and connected with the church and its CLM ministry. She also started and supports the women’s ministry at Asbury UMC. We are excited to welcome Russ, Stephanie, and their family to St. Mark’s!
